Georgina Skating Club members who were registered in the 2016-2017 skating season were asked to participate in an anonymous online survey to help us evaluate their experience during the 2016-2017 season. The survey asked questions about satisfaction with club communications, program times, coaching, program assistants, and whether member families would like to volunteer with the club in the future and in which capacity. The survey also asked about their experience with the annual ice show and provide suggestions for future ice shows and seasons. A total of 30 responses were received from a total of approximately 300 GSC member families.
Please note: The results reported can only be considered the opinions of the survey participants. They cannot be generalized to represent the entire GSC membership population as a whole.
Conclusion: What We Have Learned
The results from the 2016-2017 GSC Member Survey provided us with valuable information to assist in measuring our effectiveness in many areas. For example, it shows a high satisfaction rate of the member’s for their skater’s progression; satisfaction in the quality of instruction by both our coaches and program assistants, along with the use of Uplifter for both registration and payment. The survey also identified areas to explore for improvement in both our communication and our annual ice show.
The board of directors would like to thank all respondents for taking the time to respond to our first online member survey. This year’s survey will be sent out shortly after ice show. We hope you will take the time (approximately 10 minutes) to share your experience and overall satisfaction with the club – as well as providing valuable feedback to help us plan our 2018-2019 season.
