VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
It takes many volunteers to make the Georgina Skating Club the great success it is.
The Georgina Skating Club volunteers are an integral part of our organization and extremely valued. There are several opportunities throughout the season to volunteer your time (i.e. Halloween Party, KIS Competition, Christmas Party, Year End Fun Day, Ice Show and STARSkate test days). While most things are completed at the arena, many things can be done from the comfort of your own home.
Please note it is Georgina Skating Club’s policy that families of all STARSkate participants must volunteer 12 hours of time throughout the season. We require each STARSkate family to provide 2 volunteer cheques at registration (one dated December 31, 2016 and one dated April 30, 2017). Both cheques should be payable to the Georgina Skating Club (in the amount of $100.00), and will be returned to you or destroyed provided you volunteer 12 hours of your time throughout the season. A mandatory 8 volunteer hours are to be provided at our annual KIS competition in November and the remaining 4 hours should be provided throughout the balance of the season.
